Secondly, be sure to use the signposts, you should mark any signpost you see as otherwise, you won’t be able to fast-travel between regions. This enables you to create shortcuts to your destination or quickly disengage from a fight. Exploration TipsĪlright, time for some exploration tips! First of all, you should know that there is no fall damage in-game. I’d advise starting with the Saboteur class as it has high critical damage bonuses on both close-range attacks and gun battle. The Saboteur class is extremely good at stealth and the Psi-Freak class will give you the ability to control minds. The second class, Sentinel, is the opposite of Commando as it relies much more on close-range attacks. The first one is the Commando class this class is all about ranged gunplay. Each race offers you a distinct bonus and its own unique abilities so you can pick according to your preferred taste.Īfter choosing a race, you will be presented with five classes to choose from. There are 6 races in the game: Primal, Dumdon, Rex, Hyla, Fip, and Murgel. One thing to note is that each and every Biomutant becomes a machine by the end of the game. The game will continue to offer you so many ways to improve as you go along. However, you do not need to worry too much about it even if your character turns out weaker than you expected. Players can customize their character from breed to genetic resistance. Partake in the Mirage quests found throughout the world as you'll gain an Automaton upgrade for your efforts. One of the best things about Biomutant is its customization. There are arch-like structures scattered throughout the world that contain Green (Biomutant's currency) that you can jump through to obtain some cash. There's always one guaranteed inside enemy Outposts. Likewise, always pray at the teepee-like Psionic Shrines.Smack these with your melee weapon to obtain valuable crafting and upgrading resources. As you explore the world, you'll come across resource towers (they look like totems of various junk items).Be sure to investigate any pulsing white circles that appear on the screen while exploring, as these are often chests or other valuable resources. This may be obvious, but it's the only way to fast-travel in Biomutant. Use the tribe menu to learn more about each tribe. You need to pick between one of two tribes when starting, but if you find the fort of a non-rival tribe in your travels, you have the option to change your allegiance to them instead.Once you have defeated two rivals during outpost takeovers, you will be presented the opportunity to persuade the remaining tribes to surrender, cutting the length of the tribe war in half.Don't forget about your class Perks! Each class has five unique Perks you should focus on unlocking as soon as possible as they will make your character more effective in and out of combat. Some general Perks that benefit all classes include Adrenaline for faster health regeneration, Perfect Reload for automatic reloading of ranged weapons with an added damage bonus, and either Whet or Gunsmith to improve melee and ranged damage, respectively.

You can also gain more Upgrade Points by taking down Bandit Camps around the open world. These can be used to purchase new general Perks or class-specific Perks. Every time you level up you'll gain Upgrade Points. Each Class in Biomutant specializes in a specific area of combat, and it's important to upgrade based on your initial strengths and unique perks. This is one of the most lucrative ways to earn Green (the leaf currency) that can be used to purchase upgrades, gear, and weapons from vendors. To add something, open your Inventory menu and 'favorite' the item to place it in one of your quick-use slots for use during battle. Healthpacks and other recovery items aren't automatically added to your radial menu. You can lower the frequency of the narrator's quips by going into Settings > Audio > Narrator Frequency.
